Sailung Hike

Sailung Hill is one of the best short hiking destinations for travelers looking for a quick escape from Kathmandu.  Sailung rewards hikers  with a stunning 360-degree Himalayan panorama, including views of Mount Everest region, Langtang Lirung range, Gaurishankar, and on very clear days even the distant Annapurna I range, along with Ganesh Himal in between, making it one of the most rewarding short escapes from Kathmandu.

 Located on the border of Dolakha District and Ramechhap District, Sailung is famous for its open grassy hilltop and breathtaking 360-degree Himalayan views.

It is a 2 days easy-to-moderate hike, taking around 6 to 9 hours of scenic drive from Kathmandu followed by a short uphill walk to reach the viewpoint and homestay.
